To Everyone Out There Who Sometimes Needs A Hand...
Over time, many people have written to The Legend and have asked for advice
on a great deal of topics that come about from life. Though we are all more than happy to lend an ear, sometimes, we cannot
provide the proper help for each person's problem. Therefore, the below list has been compiled for anyone who
would like to call. Most of these numbers allow anonymous callers to call in and ask for help and advice. While we will
continue to reply to as many e-mails as we possibly can to show our support during troubling times, there are many professionals
that may be more qualified to help.
I truly hope these numbers lend a proper hand. If you know any numbers that
you feel should be added to the list, please feel free to let us know and it will be added. Thank you.

What is a Crisis?
The Chinese Language contains two character
which, when taken together, connote the concept of crisis.
The first character, wei, indicates
a critical or precarious situation, while the second one, ji, means an opportunity or chance. Crisis intervention
is a process by which a counselor identifies, assesses and intervenes with the individual in crisis so as to restore balance
and reduce the effects of the crisis in his/her life. The individual is then connected with a resource and support network.
Thus, as the Chinese characters suggest, crisis
provides the opportunity to change or overcome a critical situation.
